DEMYSTIFYING HYBRID BATTERIES

Over the years, your hybrid battery endures a myriad of wear and abuse, often culminating in failure.  Whether due to heat, resistance, or maybe a poor casting of the module casing, replacing these modules with a new or tested module EQUIVALENT to the remaining balance of your pack will have you back on the road!

When making the decision of whether to go with a new hybrid pack or to work on the one currently in your car,  first it is important to evaluate the level of degradation you're dealing with.  Your hybrid battery affects the gas milage and power experienced during your drive.  Our new packs, while more expensive than a refurb, are a great fit for those looking for long term reliability and the highest level of performance.

During our diagnostic process, we begin by breaking down the entire hybrid battery pack to remove any debris or buildup from between the modules and cooling system.  We then reassemble and begin testing of each module for internal resistance and capacity, something that is often overlooked by DIYers or eBay sellers.

Determining the overall "fitness" of each modules is key in order to have a properly balanced pack.  From the factory, each module is rated to have a capacity of 6500 mAh.  They can often test higher, but this is the benchmark we use to designate a cell as an "A-level" quality-wise.  Modules in the 5,000 mAh range are given "B", and 4,000 are given "C".  We DO NOT use anything of any lower rating nor do we recommend it to anyone due to the level of degradation already present.

After testing, we reassemble using new hardware to ensure no resistance issues exists between modules and the complete the process by balance charging the pack and reinstalling.
